Buster. You are mistaken. Besides British, who does US have? Before atleast there was a good part of the world allied with US. Not the Tom, Dick and Harry type of countries.
When I was growing up, most of us students in high school used to be in awe of US (Reagan was in WH). Bush Sr. lent credibility. Clinton warmed friendships throughout that region and many countries admired US. Now, in India by and large they like United States but they don't fear it as much. Why? Because of the way post war Iraq situation. Same is true about other countries, but on a more negative scale.
With Junior, he frittered away the goodwill obtained after 9-11 with a single masterstroke of going after Iraq.
North Korea and Iran should have been on top of the list. All of them openly flout US. Pakistan hoodwinks Bush every so often. The hatred factor has grown in many non muslim nations ... wether it is Pacific Asia, or South Korea, Europe, even Australia.
Be my guest and stay in the cocoon if you chose. Also, feel free to call everyone living outside that cocoon as "Idiots" that you normally do.
