If Bush came out with an acceptable drug program for elderly and poor it would be a big chip in his pocket for next years election.

It's impossible, John. I really don't want to go into this with a man who has a wife with the Drug expense that yours has.

My "ex" was running over a $1000 a month for drugs for her depression. We handled it with the Teacher's Insurance she has. Now that she is facing going on Medi-care next year and losing her Drug Insurance, she has changed her regime and is down to about $100 a month. The Insurance allowed her to try everything.

You mentioned price control. We both know what that leads to. Shortages. You can't force people to deliver something they don't want to.

Our Drug Industry has delivered a magnificent gift to the world with the drugs it has invented, tested, and sold. All the other countries combined haven't matched it. They are an easy whipping boy. I am convinced that the Politicians will do what people want, and it will end up destroying the Industry.
