Westi, you are spreading a lot of Bushie propaganda. I know you support him but it's too much.

For instance this typical story about how Bush's approvals are "climbing". Not true. The most comprehensive poll, the ABC-Washington Post poll just showed the ratings exactly the same at 53%. The good news for Bush is that he's stopped dropping. But why not? They just spend a huge effort doing the biggest PR blitz of the year.

The stock market also helped, though I maintain the market is overdue for a correction. Maybe even a 20% correction.

But the Bushies are claiming we're having a big recovery now. They're making fun of the "jobless recovery" line because the unemployment has stopped rising. But there are still no new jobs, there's just been a 1% downtick in new unemployment claims. The Bushies are hyping this as thought it were miraculous news. It isn't. In fact, it may not mean anything. Bush promised a paltry 600,000 new jobs by next year. So far not one new job. He's set his sights low but even that easy target may not be achieved.
