Liberals very frequently extol the love of Jesus because they willfully and erroneously perceive this Love as an acceptance of corruption. To them, Christ's Love is pure emotion that is willing to accept even that which is by nature incompatible with His character. Should Jesus forgive an adulteress, the liberal will interpret the forgiveness as an acceptance of the adultery, an implied claim that adultery is acceptable and will not be harshly judged, even should Jesus clearly tell the adulteress to sin no more. It is selective theology. Liberals accept only that part of God's character that seems to promise a wink at sin. The rest of God they simply ignore with repeated mantras about an empty-headed love and "tolerance" that is no place found anywhere in scripture. Christ Himself preached that unbelievers will be cast into hell. We see this in the Gospels and in the epistles. But the liberals have exchanged this Jesus for a Sodomitic jesus who in the end offers only a world of death.
