Of course they know and politicians
who are against these supports turn the other way when running for national office. Why, a lot votes in central states who get these federal gifts, take them away and you will loose their vote.

Then get the hammer out when you look for help to build the electric grid... nope.. not in my state.. that is a northeast problem.. Let's see how the energy bill comes out this week.
