"the power of bullshit"

Hello Searle: I like your above quote. How about bullshit baffles brains.

Seriously, I have not yet fully accepted the premise that "they" are in total control; that "they" know what they are doing and will not fail. That obviously is what mainstreet thinks, and they have made a lot of money on this premise. Yes, they are obviously trying, and continuously reach into that bag of bullshit to the delight of the "industry".

I cannot accept that there is no end or consequences to disastrous economic, fiscal and monetary policies. For me to simply give up, begin to believe all the bullshit, put my money where their mouth is, goes against the grain and insults my intelligence as limited as it is.

We have had this discussion before, and I think understand what you are saying. I too am disgusted with the dishonesty prevalent in our society today, prevalent in all aspects of our society especially including the financial sector. The US is undoubtedly the leader here and now, and is trying to export this culture throughout the world. Will the rest of the world forever go along, or will someone on day blow the whistle?
