<<The League of Nations did not exist in 1947, but the UN did. Israel accepted the UN partition.>>
...From the document you cited - yale.edu
"The Mandate for Palestine shall terminate as soon as possible but in any case not later than 1 August 1948."
...So the UN also recognized the Mandate under which Britain was governing the region.

So the settlers broke laws which were legally issued under an internationally recognized governing body in order to create a homeland.
...And yes, the Arab league violated the resolution which was legally issued by an internationally recognized authority in order to try and destroy the homeland.

Notice also (fron the same document) -
"No expropriation of land owned by an Arab in the Jewish State (by a Jew in the Arab State)(4) shall be allowed except for public purposes. In all cases of expropriation full compensation as fixed by the Supreme Court shall be said previous to dispossession. "
...No, Fred - this clause does not cover any of the other members of the Arab league. Nor does it allow for expropriation of land in one state as a redress for expropriation of land in the other state.

===> So Israel was violating the terms of their charter before the Arab League attacked.
