Hello Everyone,

I was thinking last week (yes, you did smell smoke...) that Arnold short-circuited the Republican's tight control of the nominating process here in California. He just showed up -- more or less out of the blue -- and claimed the prize.

I've been wondering, could he have obtained the same results if he had entered the race as a Democrat?

How about as an Independent or Libertarian?

Was the race simply his to lose because of his fame?
