I disagree w. LB, I'm quite sure it would have been his regardless. I agree w. Jesse Ventura, he could have, and should have, run as an independent. He would have won, without being beholden to either party apparatus. He wasn't going to do that, however, since his ambition is larger than that.

As a result the Repubs will attempt to assimilate Arnie's ambition, if he's successful in managing California. He's got the benefit of the doubt but if he fails, he'll fail big.

I think he's in luck, since we're coming out of the recession -- it'll be a jobless recovery, so the jobless will want to be entertained, and he's more entertaining than Davis <g>
