As a result the Repubs will attempt to assimilate Arnie's ambition, if he's successful in managing California. He's got the benefit of the doubt but if he fails, he'll fail big.

His huge advantage is that he has nowhere else to go. He can't become Prez, and Gov of Calif is much more powerful than anything else he can do.

My only fear for him is that he gets blown about by his liberal advisors. He has an opportunity to overhaul the legislature in the next election, but he has to be willing to go to the mattresses.
