Semitool makes agreement with TEL over patent dispute By Silicon Strategies 10/20/2003 11:47 AM EST URL: siliconstrategies.com KALISPELL, Montana -- Semitool Inc., a supplier of wafer surface preparation and electrochemical deposition equipment for IC production, said Monday (October 20, 2003) that it has reached an amicable settlement with Tokyo Electron Ltd. relating to certain patents asserted by both companies in litigation in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California. Both parties have dismissed their respective patent claims without the exchange of any monetary compensation, Semitool said. No other terms of the settlement were disclosed.
