I am off to pick up my kids so I will have to respond to most of this tomorrow. However, I believe there are examples where lowering tax rates did increase revenues. Perhaps you might look at some of the major tax rate decreases in history and what effect they had on revenues before you just say that. I recall looking that up once and I believe the answer is that some tax rate decreases have resulted in decreased revenues and some have coincided with increased revenues. But I won't state that as true right now until I have had a chance to look it up.
