The mere idea that a woman can bring you down single handedly and make you a pariah in the society though her very simple actions cannot be a comforting thought.
Lots of thoughts aren't comforting. They hardly justify murder. If one of your sons steals a car, do you intend to kill him? He has certainly brought dishonor on the family.
If you are a fan of vigilante justice, I suppose you approve of this. If you think societies should be run by law, you can't.
Neither is the idea of killing your own daughter, sister, or wife.
If it hurts so badly, don't do it. It doesn't. Not really. It's just anger.
You seem to think that, in a society with very strong family ties, such decision will be as easy of having a glass of water. You should try harder to identify with the pressures that this culture puts on the men as well as the women.
People have to put up with pressures all the time. In the West, terrible, tempermental, impossible bosses are legendary. They are not considered justification for murder, though.
The bottom line is that "honor killing" is very costly to both sexes, albeit more so to the woman.

Anything worth truly having is also worth dieing for.
Money is worth having. Does this justify armed robbery? Kidnapping?
I say self defense and defense of the lives of others justifies murder. Nothing else. You disagree?
Saudi women can force change on their society with considerably less casualties than a foreigner would have to inflict on them to force the change. Alternatively they can choose the slower and safer path by raising their children to be more open minded. Or eventually they will realize that a global economy means you cannot stay competitive by keeping half of your society out of the loop.
What Saudi women realize about global society is of no account if Saudi women have no power.
Any of these methods is considerably superior to any kind of western feminism lectures and foreign pressure on them to change.
Cut the crap. One the counterarguments against your position that life so horribly awful for Western women is that THEY THEMSELVES DID THE PUSHING TO GET THE CHANGES YOU ARE COMPLAINING ABOUT! If they didn't want them, why did they do that? It would have been much easier to simply leave things alone.
Let me give you a clue: Women aren't simply animals placed on this planet to satisfy your sexual needs. They are people, human beings, with minds, feelings, emotions, and desires of their own.
BTW, you do realize that Saudis are by no means representative of the middle east or even of Arabs, which is what the original discussion was about.
Oh, I understand they are an extreme case of Islam. What they do is taken from the Quran, though. Some other natons don't apply it strictly. Some, such as Iran and, until the US invasion, Afghanistan, do.
