US has been fortunate to be supplied with high quality people from Cuba and Eastern Europe, and later China, courtesy of Communism. Prior to that, Fascism provided the US with many useful people from Europe. Before that, European wars and intolerance provided a good supply.... Today, turmoil in Venezuela and Columbia is providing trained people. We are also getting many people from Russia and Ukraine.
