I've got a full flush toilet. As an environmentalist, I am also concerned about MY immediate environment, and I don't want little smelly lumps floating around in my world. OTOH, an environmentalist has to be practical. People who use the badly working, low flush toilets have to flush multiple times. The moral: Sometimes an environmental "solution" causes more harm than good.

Do you water your lawn? I water my lawn twice a month for pest control ONLY. I use a mixture of dish detergent, mouthwash and tobacco juice. It keeps harmful pests away and doesn't polute the ground with harmful chemicals.

Do you use pesticides? I don't.

Do you run the water while you brush your teeth? Or, as an "environmentalist" in the strictest sense, do you save water by not brushing or washing? (before you get mad, it's just a joke!<g>)

As far as your other questions, I try to conserve as much as I can. I assure you that my vehicle doesn't use much gas. We also have a washer and a dryer and all of the appliances of convenience.

I don't really care if I am known as an "environmentalist". I think that I do more than most when it comes to the amount of waste that I produce, and the amount of resources that I use.
