You said..
"I've got a full flush toilet. As an environmentalist, I am also concerned about MY immediate environment, and I don't want little smelly lumps floating around in my world. OTOH, an environmentalist has to be practical. People who use the badly working, low flush toilets have to flush multiple times. The moral: Sometimes an environmental "solution" causes more harm than good."
Try a Caroma toilet mentioned here ..
cmhc-schl.gc.ca
Made in Australia...only uses 3 liters of water, I estimate 9 out of 10 flushes..you can give it an extra 3 litre flush for the odd time you have those"little smelly lumps floating around in <<your>> world."If you have time<<gg>>

I don't water my lawn <<hate grass>>and I don't use pestisides<<might get into my well>> and I don't get mad at people I don't know and I try not to get mad at people I do<<gg>>I do have a solar system with a 3000 watt inverter and I am looking into wind power to supplement the system.
