Doug I will take your comments at face value, as I haven't read any of your other posts on other threads. But you remind of the many pundits like Barton Biggs and Byron Wien, chief strategists over at Morgan Stanley. All of them have been looking everywhere for inflation over the past 2.5 years and crying out, "Reversion to the mean, Reversion to the mean"....This is a different Bull Market born out of the down sizing of the U.S. and the technological improvements to our productivity. The same corrections and Bear markets will be there, but in a different time frame. You say, "In my experience there has never been a spike up like this immediately after going public (which involves intense srutiny and disclosure by the underwriters, and establishing a reasonable price based on comparables, if they are quality underwriters) that hasn't been followed rather promptly by a spike down". Is it just possible that you, like Barton, Byron and the other pundits, just might be wrong about this one? Come out of your mold and give yourself a chance to see a possible difference- it will do wonders for your flexability. BTW, you can't expect a free education on this thread w/o doing your own homework- the members of this "board" will gladly help those who appear to be truly intersted in learning and not pontificating.........
