The main analyst on Wall Street Week, I didn't catch his name but I believe he was in charge of the Govett Funds, said he has been buying on Tues-Wed during down days the last couple of weeks. He seemed to feel that the bottom was near. He favors the Tech stocks in which he is 40% invested (about average for him) and medical stocks.

A couple thoughts about some of the recent threads:

The tech stocks move pretty fast. Why buy on margin and risk an adverse move? The last month has been hard enough without betting (yes betting) on margin.

How about spreading your money around? Say 20-30% in XICO, some money in a good medical stock, some money in the so called sin stocks like casino's or phillip morris.

That way you will clean up on the fun and the medical treatment afterwards. Talk about getting it both ways!

Any other suggestions for before / after stocks?
