Giving grants to rebuild a country you just invaded isn't giving special prefrences to anyone. I can see arguments for and against the grants but it really has nothing to do with equal treatment of Americans.

What happened to the new found freedom for the Iraqis the conservatives have been lauding? Isn't that worth the price of admission?

Iraq is sitting on known oil reserves of a trillion dollars. It is costing us to billions just to keep the peace. So you want us to topple Saddam, keep the peace, and rebuild Iraq gratis? Why don't we have them all come stay with us while the rebuilding is happening. All that dust and noise will just stress them. We'll start a Open-your-home-to-an-Iraqi-family-during-the-rebuilding program. Each American family will be required to house one Iraqi family. Think of the goodwill.

Like I said.......conservatives are all so quick to slash and burn American social programs but then want to spend billions on Iraqis. Something's up. What are conservatives getting out of it?
