Jack, You are getting two responses from your last post. Back to the area of normal PGMs at Oro Grande. I could ask you first of all, which PGM form is normal. Thats a question I can not answer, can you? Well, makes no difference as long as they are considered as not equally predictable. What I want to ask you is, since the Ferro-magnetic Platinum forms are common at Oro Grande, why not just collect them based on their magnetic properties. The particles that are low in iron may not respond or require a very powerful magnet. Those are the paramagnetic critters. If they still will not respond try recovering them with an electromagnet where the field induces magnetism in the particulate. I have recovered gold by this method. Not very good method for gold, but it may work better for PGMs. If you need help in the electromagnetism physics problem, E-Mail me and I will help you out. hquest@msn.com
Just a passing thought after your fine Post. mike
