Maybe. But being here means you have a much better chance of knowing about and understanding the minutiae that events often turn on and knowing about ALL or nearly all the factors that affect a matter. This means you can often spot the out-of-staters who often don't have a clue what they are talking about. And believe me, initially in both the energy mess and the recall, that was most of them.

But if you want to know how to vote on Illinois matters and candidates feel free to ask me. After all, I have the advantages of being distanced which allows me to look at the data without the day-to-day noise of people trying to tell me what it means when (a) they often don't have a clue what they are talking about; and/or (b) they have started their "analysis" with the answer and now are just trying to persuade you to think like them.
