Our Apple Users Group has become involved in this shared computing effort from Stanford that holds some promise of understanding Alzheimers and other diseases. You download a simple program and it runs in the background using the "unused" cycles of your computer. They have one on Genones also. On a cable it takes only seconds to download and start up. stanford.edu
