Hi Coug
small break in the action here :-) We've got a viola lesson and a band practice in just a few minutes, so I'll make this quick.

I read a great book called Being Dead- I put a little mini review of it on Sharks- if you can stand to read it there, I think it's worth a look. I'm down to reading only Kholt and Rambi- at least I think I am, and Hollander, but it makes it easy to check in and out. However, if it bothers you to check in there, I can copy it over here, Just let me know.

I'm very impressed with my Netflix movies. Stayed up way too late watching them- but it was so worth it. Fire was excellent. I had already seen Earth- and so seeing Fire was a treat.

Have had a lovely time with my students. Today we blew our conch for the first time, while reading Lord of the Flies. I always bring my conch, and there is always at least one trumpet player who can really make a BIG sound. Always fun- gets us in the spirit.

I am trying to get the kids to realize how fun reading can be. I feel so sorry for the kids that don't enjoy it yet- this is probably their last chance to experience something that will make them love it. Then that avenue will be closed, most likely. Not that there is anything objectively wrong with that, but as I tell them, it's nice to have the choice to read for pleasure, if you think you might want to someday.
