One thing not being talked about in Philly is the effect Reid's banishment of Duce is having on this offense.

Everyone is throwing out theories on what's wrong except this one which I believe in.

Duce is not the best back in the league but his intensity could never be questioned. Just fighting for a 2 yard gain in the past would energize McNabb, the O line, the entire offense. You could pinpoint 5 plays every game where Duce injected energy into the offense regardless of the play result. It's called intensity; the main ingredient missing on this offense this year.

I believe this offensive funk is due to Reid refusing to play Duce. There's no energy on this offense, nobody to "pick up" everyone else.

I believe it's reflected in McNabbs play; he lacks all energy this year as well as the rest of the offense.

There is a place for Westbrook in the offense; Buckhalter has shown he can't catch and can't pass block ... a bad combination in Reid's offense. Reid refuses to give Staley any role whatsoever.

I surely didn't agree with Duce's actions in the offseason; they weren't best for the team. For Reid to refuse to play the ONLY guy who energizes the offense isn't best for the team either.

This is the same exact offense as last year with 2 exceptions: an upgrade at blocking back and the fact that Duce has been banished by Reid.

Here's hoping Reid gets past his personal issues with Duce and begins playing the only guy who brings any intensity whatsoever to this offense.
