Yes, it is, E. What part you believe is true and what part fictional breaks down pretty well by where you are on the political spectrum. The left tends to goes with "The DOD deliberately lied" version and the right doesn't. It is very mixed up, and we will never know the truth.

The movie coming out was done with no Lynch interviews. My best guess is that the shootout itself is wrong, and that the Hospital part is accurate. I read an article by the screenwriter and he went off what was public at the time. Only way he could stay out of charges of misrepresentation.

Lynch didn't ask to get injured or to get medals. I figure she is entitled to whatever she gets.
