No one I have talked to has said they would want to be kept alive as Terry Schiavo has been for 13 years. Not one person. Well, now you know one - me. When I imagine being in a state where it is ethical to "pull the plug," it's in far worse condition than Terry Schiavo is now. I wouldn't pull the plug on any member of my family who was in her condition, either. People do recover from persistent vegetative states. I certainly hope it wouldn't last for 13 years, but where would one draw the line?
