I have another scenario concerning options that you may like to mull over. Suppose a trader (a large institutional buyer for the sake of argument) wishes to aquire a large stake in ASND. Wouldn't it make sense for the buyer to purchase options first since the anticipated stock purchase may drive up the stock price (and the same should be true for the converse)? Is this legal? Permitted? Is this done as far as you know? What do you suppose would be the net effect on the stock price? Finally, would the option writers get hammered?

If you have any of that creative, logical energy left I would very much appreciate reading your thoughts on this.
