Thanks for the link.

if you click on the link to the bill in question

it says that the bill Kerry supported (which had been proposed based on recommendations from the Bush Administration) passed 99-0 in the Senate. Three weeks after September 11 happened. So I guess Kerry was really showing leadership (or is it followership?) there. As my previous post indicates, the weapons which save our troops' lives and help accomplish their objectives need to be supported for long periods of time in order to be there when they are needed. Every weapons program that Kerry opposed (at least some of the time) originated before the Clinton years. Some were supported during the Clinton years but many were not, and Kerry was one of ones not supporting them quite frequently. He didn't even agree with the UN that Saddam should be kicked out of Kuwait in 1991. Those are facts.

Do I trust him on defense issues? Not based on what I've seen so far. Is his support of a defense authorization measure passed unanimously three weeks after 9/11 really the best you can do to show Kerry is strong on defense?
