DB:
I play the market full time, read all the news
Most days I come up with a list of stocks with good earnings, perhaps a split.
Am looking more for short term plays of a day or a week, but it always helps if it appears to be a LT hold.
I have to own a stock for 6 months or even years, to call it a safe LTBH, and I have said sveral times here what those stocks (about 6) are.
Some of these below have good dividends of 8 or 10% , such as NFI.
I happen to have some agi, tma, nfi, eres, fcel, and petm at this moment. My major LTBH's are not here.
But from this list I can usually find 2 or 3 new stocks per day that are worth a venture, buying calls mostly.
(I put the 3 or 4 stocks you mentioned in here).
As a general thing I avoid big stocks like yhoo, qcom, intc, msft, orcl, csco, wmt,hd,low, noc, lmt,ba,hov, len which seem to be manipulated ,controlled, played for profits in a big way by manipulators and news agencies, or just too big to have great potential.
