Doren, Rush did make a mistake to put down any others that became addicted to prescription drugs, while he was suffering from the same problem, but getting hooked on prescription drugs is vastly different to, intentionally, going out, buying an illegal drug, getting hooked, and then expecting society to take care of them.

You seem to put too much faith in doctors. The reason they lobbied to have alcoholism, and drug addiction, added to the list of diseases, is so they can collect from insurance companies, or the government, to pay the bills for their services. That is a well known fact in the medical community. At least, among those that don't fear telling the truth. I was once addicted to alcohol, and have been sober for almost 7 years, but I will not cop out and say I had a disease. I don't even like the term "alcoholic". Myself, and the others in the predicament, are, or were, drunks. They asked for a way to shut out the rest of the world, and they found it in the bottle, but ultimately paid dearly for it. Period, end of report.
