HDSL is also made by WSTL, but most of the people who are deploying t1e1 equivalents would rather have a radsl cap solution since it is easier to deploy and can acheive faster throughput. ask bell atlantic. as i said previously, the CAP v. DMT debate is moot. most of the companies will support both, including WSTL. the problem is people want deployment now. it seems that it would be easier to start deploying understood CAP equipment and use the deployment to find problems that will be had with DMT deployment. personally, i dont expect major DMT deployments until mid to late 98. i expect CAP rollouts by the end of this year. it has become clear that many companies are going to do very well in this market, including AMTX and WSTL. what we need to be looking at now, IMHO, is when the RBOCs are going to start. if we have to wait for the FCC and courts to make the decisions we may not have broadband to the home until the return of christ. good luck to all, trey
