AS: Rumsfield served as an Air Force intelligence analyst and I dont even think there was a war going on at the time. He never flew a jet. Where did you pick up that BS? same place where they're saying GW flew jets? quit lying.

In fact, Rumsfeld, who was born in 1932, was too young to serve in World War II and was in high school and college during the Korean War. However, he did serve as a naval aviator from 1954-1957, immediately after graduating from Princeton which he had attended on a scholarship.

So AS has several untrue statements in that one short post:

1. Rumsfeld served in the Air Force. (False, it was the Navy)
2. He never flew a jet (He was an aviator, though since it was in the 1950's it could be that the planes he flew had propellers on them)
3. Quit lying. (In classic AS fashion he accuses someone else of lying when it is AS who is making stuff up)
