Thirty years ago I had a lot of respect for the ACLU. Twenty years ago, some. But the Skokie case was their watershed. Since then, they have moved to basically being an arm of the left wing of the Democratic party. They have moved far away from their roots as classical liberals truly concerned with civil liberties.
