Listening to Bob Brinker, I can't help but ask:

What is the big problem that "investors" have with "traders"? Brinker keeps
screaming for Greenspan to raise the equity requirements to virtually eliminate
trading on margin; thereby curtailing short term trading. Brinker believes that this
will have the effect of smoothing out the market's current "over-volatility".
Luckily, Greenspan disagrees that Brinkers approach would have Brinker's intended
effect

Why the "anti-trader bias" from Brinker and other like thinkers?

Though I guess Brinker would characterize me as a Trader, I can certainly see the advantages of long term investing. What's wrong with short term plays?

(I actually found myself yelling back at my car radio!)

I welcome all civil, intelligent responses; no flames please...

Regards,
Mark
