Then there are those who see some US interventions as justified, and others not ..... also, some US interventions as well and justly executed, and others not .... colour me in this category, i'm neither pro- nor anti-US, i like very much those legendary principles on which it is supposed to have been founded, however the reality doesn't always measure up to them, which is understandable due to the prevalence of control of the nation by human beings

Invading France beside us 06.06.44 good, setting gangs of torturing murderers on nicaragüenses 1980-86 evil, these would head the categories, for last century anyway ..... Iraq invasion of 2003, hard to say where i'd put it, have to think about it, as the evil here was in deciding all in the back rooms of Washington, playing unelected trigger-happy sherriff for the world, and doing all they could to destroy the UN, instead of taking the opportunity to remodel it

Nadine, saw your post, i was going to reply with the thought that John's use of your for you're [not permitted in days of yore!] was far more offensive to me than that of goose-stepping .... this would have gone on at length, i decided it would just take up space, touching as it would on so precious little foreign affairs ... language is just the funnest toy, however it is not the thread topic ..... much later .... cheers

ps - article on disarming afghan militias .... total cultural change, necessary but will be neither easy nor quick - news.bbc.co.uk
