"The Jews took a very narrow strip of land that was largely desert, in terrible shape, a tiny fraction of the Arab lands and made it into a beautiful country. There is plenty of land throughout the Arab world. Yet, the leaders of the Arab nations, largely tyrants and OILogarchs have used this issue to keep their own people from removing their tyrannical regimes."

That's the problem; the Jews took> Out of pity, the UN offered some land to the Jews from Europe. Then they "took".
Obviously the people living there were not happy about it. But Ben Gurion, instead of being grateful to the UN for what was offerred, was pissed that he didn't get much more land. then the planning was to remove the rapidly reproducing indigenous population and get the rest of the land.
