If the Kennedys hadn't been assassinated they'd have been far more powerful than the Bushes. Both Bush Sr. and GW are poor presidents who brought us lousy economies, malaise and little inspiration. Most of what the Bushes have now is special interest corporate money behind them, and a certain ruthlessness. But it's backfiring on them now. Unless the Dems choose Dean, Bush is toast in 2004. Kerry-Clark could beat Bush in a landslide.
