The Author made a good comparison of the two viewpoints.

He did. But I don't think that explains the level of venom. I think that was a backlash from the level of venom aimed at the previous administration...which shall remain nameless. <g>

I must have missed the "craven" part. I don't recall ever hearing that accusation. And I don't recall more than a passing mention of "lazy," at least not since the very early days of short work weeks. Of course, I tune out most of that stuff so I may have missed it. "Hypocritical" and "nitwit" come through loud and clear, though.

The author did a better job, seems to me, of capturing the conservative POV, as would be expected.
