The Author made a good comparison of the two viewpoints. He did. But I don't think that explains the level of venom. I think that was a backlash from the level of venom aimed at the previous administration...which shall remain nameless. <g> <<The liberal answer is that George Bush is a craven, lazy, hypocritical nitwit.>> I must have missed the "craven" part. I don't recall ever hearing that accusation. And I don't recall more than a passing mention of "lazy," at least not since the very early days of short work weeks. Of course, I tune out most of that stuff so I may have missed it. "Hypocritical" and "nitwit" come through loud and clear, though. The author did a better job, seems to me, of capturing the conservative POV, as would be expected. <<The conservative answer is that liberals are being driven crazy by the fact that Bush is so popular with Americans, and thus by the realization that anyone to the left of center is utterly marginal>>
