"Informationally constipated " - that works for me! And a good one at that. The problem is, what can we shove down Noam's throat to loosen things up?

As a response to Tim H's post, we ALL (those of us who were in MRVC at the time) made big bucks during the heyday of the bubble so I don't begrudge management what they got in their options. He11, that's low by the standards at the time, with companies that went broke or near broke (Lucent anyone?).

The company's business plan, which you bought into when you bought the stock (or were you just in it for the momentum aspects?) was to incubate startups as a mother-financier, share R&D benefits if appropriate, IPO the companies via spinoff, to our mutual gain. Yes, it bled capital but that's what the capital investment was all about - funding R & D looking for the Next Big Thing.

You can't sit here years later and b1tch about that when you bought into it at the time. The fact that CW and a few others didn't produce big sales doesn't mean the investments were wrong at the time. Unless you are just applying hindsight - which everyone an expert.

Your last paragraph ("no interest in profits or controlling costs...") is ludicrous IMO, and not worthy of comment beyond that.
