re:the world hating Bush -- what do you think would have happened after 9/11 if any Democrat had been in office? There would have been massive investigations and discussions, involving the nations of the world. Done right, this would create an unstoppable multi-national alliance to make any kind of organized terrorism extremely difficult, while avoiding hate-speech against America. Not to mention avoiding another $trillion in military/contractor expenditures over the next 5 years. That's why Bush avoided that approach and went for the Neocon Empire approach. They don't want a reduction in terrorism - for 20 years they have wanted political control of, as Rummie puts it, "all the elements of national power". They won't get that with peace. Only in wartime does a country hand over the reins to a small group inside the Executive Branch.
