btw, have i mentioned that starting Beckett tonite is quite possibly the dumbest thing i have ever seen a manager do??

I almost responded to this before the game but clearly
a) it was not stupid
b) even if it was stupid it sure was not one of the stupidest things ever

Get real about b
I am not talking hindsight here, even if he lost it was not one of the STUPIDEST things EVER
Look at the assinine decisions of Dusty Baker

At least this decision was one that worked before.
Didn't he already pitch once quite well on 3 days?
Perhaps the manager felt this guy could do better (for whatever reason in a non-game 7 situation)

Look at all the dumbass decisions that managers have made leaving someone in too long and you call this one of the dumbest decisions ever?!!! Starting a proven winner early does not even compare IMO to leaving someone in too long.

Now, the after the fact verdict says you gotta give the benefit of the doubt to someone that consistantly steps up and delivers.

Great decision.
