There is no reaction on China mainland where she is considered by many if not most to be a traitor to her people by having worked to prolong the civil war in securing US help for her thuggish husband; there is no particular reaction of note to speak of in Taiwan where many consider she to simply be the foreign-educated wife of a bloody dictator who knew better than to hang around after her husband's death.
Amongst the Chinese crowd everywhere, the Soong sisters' stories are quite well-know, like the Kennedy’s.

IMO, each sister simply did what she was meant to do, and thus the drama and tragedy.
