Isn't that peculiar?? You DIDN'T say what I remembered at all!! I must have taken your post and Kholt's response somehow and mutated it into something that was bothering me downdeep- that the result in this case of not intervening was death and there were too many unanswered questions for me to feel right about that. I also worried that what I said came out wrong, since I haven't changed my mind to thinking that we should keep people alive by all means and forever. This morning, I read an article that for me at least, stripped away a lot of the mess swirling around the case regarding the PVS state and the tape of Terri on which so many seem to be basing their belief that she is aware. In so many ways, our opinions are based on ignorance of medical facts in general, as well as this specific case, and that gets worse as people with personal agenda leap in, filling in their own blanks with rumor and supposition. That is fascinating about the depression picture you found. Despite all we know about depression, many people continue to believe someone should just be able to "snap out of it!". Will post the article next.
