a little harsh on Yankees, even if I hate them

Soriano would have been MVP if season ended July 1st
Godzilla got a critical hit in game #7 versus RedSox
- he also produced over 30 homers, very consistent all year
Giambi is still huge, did well despite injury in series
Ventura was out due to injury
Jeter is ... well... Jeter, utterly outstanding
Williams did great, a steady star

you are off base
the Yankee weakness is their pitching staff
Wells is beatable
Pettitte is often excellent, but is beatable (too many T's in his name)
Clemons faded over a year ago
Mussina is inconsistent
El Duque is gone, sad, he just lost it
their only great reliever is Rivera
Nelson is good most of the time

defense on the field is a real big negative

I say pitching and defense lost this series, not absent bats
