>>I am surprised by the numbers because the press has gone out of its way to put Howard Dean on the back burner!<<
I'm impressed by this poll from Zogby,as I consider that poll to be one of the more accurate and without political bias, although Zogby himself is an Arab American.....FWIW.
RE : Brooks etc........Yes indeed. There are a lot of punters out there who are scared sh**less that this outsider might actually run away with the contest.TUFF!<gg>
RE : The NYT. It appears that in their quest for " Fair And Balanced " that they achieve, as opposed to those who tout this line and are the worst deliberate partisans, they do tend to fall off the cliff every now and again, don't they?
RE : Wes Clark. As I've said here,he would make a pretty good running mate as the VP during this time of American Ultra defense and Security initiatives.Bush has brainwashed the population into thinking only a strong offence will gain security and it would be hard to break down that programming in an election run.
Like Sharon in Israel,Bush creates problems and then runs to the people telling them how they need his strong position to defeat his enemies, the very ones he continues to make!STUPIDDDD!!
I would welcome WES into the Dean Camp on this basis, however,In reading his Bio and some analysis on him, I would be concerned that he would try to do a Chenny On Dean and try to run his own agenda.Dean would have to let him know who is boss from the get go, but I think he would have no problem with that.Other than that,I have no problem with Wes Clark under Dean's guidance.
All in All, this poll should be a wake up call to the many of the contenders to bow out gracefully, and soon. They will only hurt the party by hanging on till the dying moments by taking away a much needed spotlight from the front runners. We should see a narrowing of the ranks going forward. This will be welcomed by many, especially those who can't chew gum and walk at the same time who contend there are too many to follow etc etc...
I predict no more than five left standing going into the actual voting. What will be interesting is who those falling by the wayside will endorse as they bow out.
