Being the governor of Vermont (roughly the same population as Austin, Texas) isn't really that much of a political track record. I don't mean that in an insulting way. Just a little reality check here.

Clark has a great track record in places we need it now. He was a negotiator in the Dayton Peace Accord. He held together a 19 nation coalition as NATO SACEUR and won a war in Kosovo. Damned good political track record there. He has also been a White House fellow in the OMB.

The candidates that have experience in domestic policies aren't that far apart on many issues but Dean's tax policy disturbs me because I don't think he sees the whole picture. State and local taxes on the middle class have gone up since Bush took office because federal revenues have been cut. Rolling back all the federal tax cuts will leave the middle class with higher taxes than they had under Clinton because of the state and local changes. Kerry and Clark realize this.
