True Libertarians are just about as far removed from your average Democrat as anybody who is well right of center. AND your average republican now, that is the problem. A true libertarian would never oppose gay marriage, or a womans right to choose, or stem cell research, or teen birth control, or free open markets for drugs. Real libertarians would just say, "you all do what you want", buy drugs from canada, do reseach on stem cells if you feel like it. A real libertarian would never waste taxpayer money on "education to endorse marriage". Thanks to the republicans for this malarky. On fiscal matters you used to be able to side with republicans and feel like you had budget hawks in charge. No more though. This economic team is unable to comprehend the offshoring tornado too. Thats a huge problem right there.
