Duma elections are nothing, wait until the presidential elections! The ghost
of communism is still alive, even though communism is long dead, and it is
much feared by investors. This Yukos thing is just a reflection of that fear.
Putin seems to be going after the robber-barons. His methods may be from
his KGB past, so... investors fear that. But if robber-baron capitalism is
replaced there by a more civil version, it can be considered a "good"
thing. Russians absolutely love Putin, because Russia is blossoming now,
after years of decline and stagnation.

In fact, Russia has much LESS socialism than Western Europe, with its
13% flat income tax! I think the Russian market could crash between now and the
presidential elections, but that would be a huge buying opportunity.
Communism there won't happen.
