Actually, until quite recently most of the discussion
was about the superiority of CDMA over GMA.
Trouble is, from what I can tell, even if CDMA grows
much faster going forward, and gains increasing share,
doesn't mean that QCOM will necessarily hit it really big.
Yeah they got patents but seems their royalty stream so
far isn't that hugh (small part of revenues) and isn't
enough by itself to make them a hugh win.

They have to also win a substantial part of both the
infrastrucure and handset markets going forward. Infra-
structure build out seems to be slowing a bit -- hopefully
temporarily. And there seem to be delays in phones, and
new competition from the big boys coming in.

Others know much more about the company than me, but like
some others recently, I hope the discussion refocuses more
or the key issues for investment success...
