Isn't that enough?
God didn't intend for us to ignore or gloss over certain passages of scripture. ALL scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. the entire bible is filled with prophecy, but we were focusing somewhat on the book of revelation. at the very beginning of revelation we are told,
"Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand."
then throughout revelation we are told,
"Here is wisdom." "And here is the mind which hath wisdom."
and in the last chapter of revelation we are reminded,
"Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book."
so in answer to your question, it is not enough to just gloss over the prophecies found in revelation or anywhere else in the bible for that matter. |
